About Me

I’m Dr. Erika Updegrove, a licensed psychologist with a deep passion for neuropsychology, behavioral analysis, and providing compassionate, evidence-based care. With years of experience in both clinical and academic settings, I specialize in integrating neuropsychological and behavioral principles to offer comprehensive, top-tier clinical work.

I hold a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a Neuropsychology Emphasis from William James College, as well as a Master’s in Education from UMass Boston, where I concentrated on Behavior Analysis. I am fully trained in EMDR through EMDRIA, a Level III Gottman Therapist for couple’s work, and a Karuna Reiki Master. Currently, I’m also pursuing my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of individuals—from children and adults with developmental disabilities to those recovering from brain injuries, trauma, and neurological conditions. My current practice focuses on individuals navigating neurodivergence and those with complex, often traumatic pasts. One of my key areas of specialization is helping people heal from toxic relationships and regain a sense of self-worth and empowerment.

In my private practice, I provide outpatient mental health services, offer behaviorally focused therapies and supervision.

My approach blends psychological expertise with empathy and practical strategies. I firmly believe in the mind-body connection, and I work closely with my clients to understand and address the root causes of their challenges. If a client is open to it, I incorporate energy healing and spiritual practices, though this is always an optional and individualized aspect of our work together.

Whether I’m offering therapy, facilitating energy healing, or training professionals, my ultimate goal is to support individuals in unlocking their fullest potential and leading more empowered lives.
